With the exception of last year, we have kind of made a trip to Kings Island a Memorial Day/end of school tradition. The weather was beautiful, so off we went - and Grandma came too! We started our day with some "grandma friendly" activities in the morning and then we planned to meet Amanda and Addison for a roller coaster extravaganza!
New this year to Kings Island was the return of an old favorite - the Antique Cars! Even grandma was excited to ride and Emily was thrilled to get to drive.
After bumping around a bit, we headed over to the Grand Carousel for a ride on the beautiful horses. I could have ridden about ten times, but we limited our turn to just one ride.
then we were off to Planet Snoopy to visit some of Emily's favorite little kid rides. First up, Boo Blasters - we shot lots of ghosts.
Then, probably against our better judgment, we headed over to Race for Your Life Charlie Brown - the log ride. The problem with riding at the beginning of the day is that there is a lot more water in the ride. We got drowned - absolutely soaked. But it was fun.
We also hit up some other familiar favorites along the way too:
We even met some old friends!
Then we grabbed a quick lunch at the Fest Haus before heading over to the barnyard petting zoo!
Then it was time for a snack before meeting up with Amanda and Addison for coaster fun.
Then it was coaster, after coaster, after coaster... (I even rode a couple too.)

Emily closed out her evening with her very first ride on Drop Tower! Very brave. Idefinitely sat that one out, but she loved it!
Since we were so close to park close anyway, we decided to stay for the fireworks and have one last treat. Such a great day!
