Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (#3)

Tuesday, December 10, 2019
For our final Disney adventure on this trip, we headed back to Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - and the dessert party too!  Tonight's goals were some rides (including Space Mountain with the hard rock Christmas music and lights), the dessert party, fireworks and hopefully the late parade too!  Gotta get it all in!  We made Space Mountain our first stop in case the line was  long.  It wasn't too bad, and we even got a pic while waiting in line.  Multitasking - Disney style.
Then we decided to take another ride on Tomorrowland Speedway while all the decorations were out.  Super festive!

Grandma liked Splash Mountain and our first pictures didn't come out so we decided to try again. There was no one in line so we had the whole log to ourselves - and that made for a great picture!
My favorite picture from the trip!  As seen on the way to Splash Mountain.
Then it was time to make our way to the dessert party - definitely a highlight of the trip.

Then it was time to relax and watch the fireworks.
Since we had a little time between the fireworks and the late parade (and we were on a sugar high) we headed off to ride Small World.  I can't believe we almost wrapped up this trip with our a spin in those quintessential little boats.

Then it was time to sit down and wait for the parade!
We got a pretty good spot back up in town square - near where we had been for the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Again, narrowing pictures was hard!!

Perfect ending to an amazing trip.  Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!  Until next time, Disney...

Christmas at Magic Kingdom (part 2)

Tuesday, December 10, 2019

So much to write about from our MK day that I need multiple posts!  After lunch, we made time for Under the Sea and Dumbo too.

Then we had to head back to get our reserved seats for the Festival of Fantasy Parade.  We had great seats, right in the center of town square facing the train station. We didn't have to wait long for the parade and it was terrific.  Narrowing down the pictures was hard!

Look at these special parade moments!

After the parade, we had Fastpasses for Jingle Cruise.  Typically this would not be on our list of favorite attractions, but at Christmas they  decorate it all up and it is kind of fun.  Plus, Grandma made a request to ride it. So off we went (just barely within our time window too)!

Before heading back to the resort for a brief rest, we decided to hop on the monorail and run over to the Grand  Floridian to see the huge gingerbread house.  We liked seeing it last year and we thought Grandma might like to see it too.  It really is pretty spectacular. Plus, they have a fabulous Christmas tree too!

We continued on the monorail back around to Magic Kingdom parking and headed back home for a rest.  When we arrived, I remembered I  had not taken any pics of our resort (Marriott Sabal Palms), so I snapped a few.  It was a really nice place.  I would definitely stay there again.
