Today was the start of Summer Skating School for Emily. She was up and at it bright and early to meet Darlin, her new choreography coach. Every morning at 7:30 we got up and headed over to the indoor rink for her lesson. Then, after the indoor lesson, she was off to the outdoor rink at 8:30 for a jump/spin class with Craig Heath.
While Emily got warmed up and began her lesson, Daniel and I headed back to Konditorei for coffee and a pastry. We got one to-go for Emily too, because she had a break in between her lessons and freestyle ice and she was pretty hungry by 9:30.
After all of her lessons and freestlye sessions were over for the morning, we headed into town to ride the gondolas up to The Roundhouse for lunch. It was kind of fun riding a ski gondola in the middle of the summer. Plus, the ride was really pretty.
I have to admit, the lunch was a total disappointment. The Roundhouse had just opened for the season after being closed for some time for Covid and the menu was not as advertised. When we arrived we basically had a choice of a hot dog and chips or a sausage. Not really what we were going for, but it wasn't like there were loads of other choices (or any other choices) mid-way up a mountain. So we ate it. Then after lunch, we rode another left to the top of the mountain to look around. The views were beautiful, and in any event, were better than the hot dogs.

After our time on top of the world, we headed back down to the base of the mountain.

Then we went back to the resort for a swim. You had to have a reservation for the small pools (because Covid) so we went over to the Olympic pool. But man it was cold!
For dinner, we decided to eat in our villa since we had been out and about all afternoon. Then after dinner we hopped on our bikes and rode all around the resort...until we found ice cream. Of course. Such a fun day!
