We celebrated Dan's 38th birthday on April 19 with presents and cake. Much to Emily's disappointment, there was no bounce house. I tried to explain to her that strenuous activity and all that excitement would not be good for a man of Daddy's age. She did not seem to get it, but seemed satisfied that at least we had chocolate cake...except my chocolate cake was not enough. She also brought him her little wooden birthday cake. It was quite cute. Dan got gift cards to Home Depot and Lowes along with some new shorts, new shirt, his favorite K-Cups for his coffee maker and a new Man Cave sign for our new basement. I think he had a pretty good birthday. Happy Birthday Honey! I love you!
