Gobble Gobble Gobble!

Thanksgiving 2012 was wonderful and so special because this was our first Thanksgiving in our new dining room!  We had Thanksgiving in our house last year, but we did not have any dining room furniture.  So this year was a real treat (at least for me) because we had brand new furniture and we broke out all of our china and crystal that we got for our wedding over 8 years ago.
It was also pretty special because Emily actually tried and liked and ate the turkey!  This was Daniel's second year being responsible for the turkey portion of the dinner and he did not disappoint.  The bird was a wonderful golden brown and very juicy.  I was actually looking forward to having the left overs!
This year was also special because we got to host Grandma and Granddad Miller again and we also hosted Laura, Andy, Jacob and dog, Kiwi for the big Thanksgiving feast and festivities.  It was super fun.  After the dinner was finished, kitchen cleaned and bedtime approaching Laura and I set off for the big Black Friday (even though it was still Thursday) sale at Toys-R-Us.  We had to stand in line for about 25 minutes to get in, but luckily it was not very cold and it was not raining.  And once we got inside we both found the "doorbusters" we wanted.  No one got trampled.  Everyone got bargains.  It was fun...and definitely memorable.  Funny the things you have to do to help Santa...and save a buck or two.  Then bright and early on Friday morning (6am to be exact) we set off on more Black Friday adventures at Kohl's, Target, and the Mall.  It was super fun and I was thrilled to have a shopping buddy this year.
