We had reservations for the Frozen Dessert Party at Epcot back in September, but had to cancel after our plans changed for Hurricane Irma. I had been trying to get another reservation for several weeks before this trip, but no luck. Then, while sitting at Garden Grill during breakfast, I finally got one! So after our "rest" at the resort, we grabbed a quick dinner at Contempo Cafe and headed back to Epcot for the dessert party and the Illuminations Fireworks.
We got back to the park a little early so we decided to stop in to see BayMax and Sadness from Inside Out. We were hoping to see Joy too, but we missed her.
Then it was time to check in for the Frozen party! The party was set up in a beautiful area around the lagoon. Lots of tables and chairs and a perfect view for the fireworks. We shared a table with a very nice young couple from Australia. It was fun to get to know them over all the wonderful desserts.
Then it was time for Illuminations (and Emily's freeskate music). This show is very different than Wishes or Happily Ever After. Much more dramatic and our seats were perfect to catch all the action.

After the fireworks were over, a bonus provided with the dessert party was a special (post-park close) opportunity to ride Frozen Ever After! Since it had been closed earlier in the morning we were really glad to get to ride. I like this ride a lot and I think Emily still likes it too. It's fun to be immersed in the world of Frozen for a little while.
