Miscellaneous Summer Stuff

 July 30 - August 1, 2020

We have been trying to be careful about when we let Emily go visit Grandma since we are still living in this era of Coronavirus, but we identified the last weekend of July as a good option and while we were there we were able to get Emily's skates sharpened too.  It is still hard to go out and do much of anything, but we were able to get carry out from some of our favorite spots including Fazoli's, Marion's and Graeter's.  We were also able to get in a round of mini golf!  Everyone played - even Grandma! And Emily got the only hole in one of the round!

Then we had a chance to watch a little space history again this summer.  This time the United Launch Alliance launched a rocket with the new Mars Rover, the Perseverance, on board.  It won't arrive on Mars for quite some time, but it was super exciting to see it launch successfully.

But the summer of space fun wasn't quite over yet!  A week later it was time to bring the crew from Space X Dragon home from the ISS.  Amazingly, it was a perfect landing!  So exciting!!
