The day after her 16th birthday, Emily was at the DMV to take her road test and get her license. Try to ignore the pajama pants. It was Christmas pj day at school and we headed to the DMV straight from school. Anyway, she was definitely nervous, but also very excited. We knew the road part would be no problem, but the parallel parking was still a bit of an emerging skill. It was hard to sit there and wait in the waiting area. I wanted to be out there. I wanted to watch, but there are some things kids have to do on their own I guess and this was one of them. Luckily it only took about 20 mins and she passed! The instructor was very nice and even complimented her parallel parking skills! Look out Charleston! She's on the roads!
