We have been on a lot of vacations. Many of them to the south during hurricane season. Only once did we have to delay a trip to Disney due to a storm and even with that delay we still managed to get in most of the trip. Well, this year our luck ran out. Hurrican Debby rolled into the Tampa Bay area on Friday/Saturday and we watched its path over the weekend. A lot of times the forecasted track changes. This time, not so much. Debby started bringing rain to Myrtle Beach on Sunday afternoon and as can be seen in prior posts, it brought a lot more. This afternoon we made the tough decision to just go ahead and come home early. There was just so much rain and so much wind and the storm was only moving at something like 3-5mph so it was basically going to rain through Friday and into Saturday.
Today we stayed inside almost all day. We finally braved the elements for dinner out at PF Chang's and ice cream at Kirk's but that was it. A very sad end to this vacation blog. Sigh. Hoping for better fun and more sun next year.
