Well, why not, we thought. Bible Center is closed next week. Dan is off work. I was not busy. Emily loves vacation AND we had a free week to use in the Marriott Vacation Club. So, why not? Why not head to Orlando for one more summer vacation. We could get to a Breitling store for Dan to choose his watch (40th birthday gift), sneak in a couple of days at Magic Kingdom, make a stop at Sea World and celebrate the end of Preschool. So we did it.
We booked 6 nights at the Marriott Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando and left town on Friday, August 9. We picked this property because it seemed very kid friendly and there were a lot of things to do on site. They had 2 pools, a game room, mini golf and more. We arrived in the late afternoon so we had a little bit of time to enjoy the pool, check out the resort and grab dinner before resting up for a full weekend of fun.
