This was the first Christmas that
Emily was really able to make and enjoy giving her own gifts. Grandma Heintz helped her sew (which she now
loves to do) gifts for Daddy and me.
Daddy got a Christmas tree and I got a penguin (very much like one we
saw on the Polar Express train trip in one of the little town store windows). Emily also went to our local paint -your-own
pottery place and painted Grandma Heintz a Santa Clause. She also painted an elephant ring holder for
Grandma Miller.
Other special gifts for others
included a trip to Mackinac Island for Bob and my mom later this summer and a
Bible Center School sweatshirt and Princes and the Frog movie for my mom. Zoey was not forgotten either as Santa left
her a new toy with a little mouse tail that she can chase and a big stocking
full of treats!
But there is no doubt that the
best picture series (and maybe the best moment of Christmas 2013) involved
Daddy getting his new PlayStation 4. The
pictures basically say it all.
