Myrtle Beach 2016 (Brookgreen Gardens)

July 11-17, 2016

Every year we try hard to find something new to see or do in Myrtle Beach.  This year our choice was was easy - Giant Lego creations at Brookgreen Gardens!  We had never been to Brookgreen Gardens before and I can't imagine how we did not know about it sooner.  The gardens were amazing and there was so much to see and do.  I wish we would have had even more time there than we had.  Still, we had plenty of time to walk the whole path to see all of the amazing Lego creations.  Each one contained thousands and thousands of bricks and the detail was unbelievable.

While we were on the path looking at the Legos, we also found that they had a small zoo.  Emily's favorite animals were the river otter (of course) and the horse but they also had a very cool aviary area with lots of birds, an Eagle and so much more.

They also had a big play area for kids and Emily enjoyed checking that out too.

Personally, my favorite part came at the very end - a bonus trip to the butterfly house!  There was a small extra charge to go in, but it was definitely worth it. There were loads of them everywhere and they were really neat to see up close.  I would definitely come here again.  Worth the trip for sure.
