Christmas at Disney - Day Three

Thursday, December 6, 2018
Today was our Hollywood Studios day.  We started our morning with a trip to Toy Story Land.  We couldn't get a Fast Pass for Slinky Dog, but we did get one for Toy Story Mania, so we rode that instead.  Then, when we finished, the line was pretty short for the Alien Swirling Saucers so we rode that too. I actually really like that one.

Then it was off to Rockin' Roller Coaster.  We all enjoy a good roller coaster and this is one of the best at Disney.  Plus it is fun to get into the ride cue and see if your name gets used on one of the rock posters lining the walls.

By the time we finished those rides, it was time for lunch at the Sci-Fi Drive-In Diner!  We'd never  been here before and Emily thought it sounded like fun so we hunted for a reservation for several weeks before one finally opened up.  I was glad she encouraged us to try it out because it was really fun.  You got to eat your lunch in a "car" that was pulled up to an old fashioned drive-in theater where they played old movie clips and cartoons.  It was definitely an experience.

Then it was back to the rides...and more pin shopping and pin trading too.
We also made time for a visit to Star Wars Launch Bay (even met Chewbacca), Beauty and the Beast on stage and the Frozen Holiday Sing-Along.  So much fun!

Then we decided  to head back to the resort for a short rest and a walk to Disney Springs for a little shopping...mostly pins.  It was an easy walk from our resort over the Disney Springs so that was really nice.

After our brief time away from the park, it was time to go back, grab a bite to eat and head off to the Jingle Bell Jingle BAM dessert party.  We grabbed our dinner at Backlot Express in hopes of getting in a quick ride on Star Tours (which we just barely made) and then it was off for desserts and fireworks and fun!
Star Tours!

Then it was time for Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM and it absolutely did not disappoint.  Such a great holiday Disney show and we had a great spot to watch, too.

And to round out the night, we stopped for a pic of the Hollywood Studios tree all lit up. Beautiful!
