We got several inches of snow overnight and it was really pretty when the sun came up. Some of the kids in the cabin were u p early to get out and play in the snow. They even made a snowman with a little kit one of the girls brought. So cute!

Then it was time to get out to the rink to skate a bit. We had to get lots of skating time in this weekend before going home to no ice...again. So, off they went. After a good long skate, it was time for lunch and then changing for the show. The wind died down as the morning went on so by the time it was time for the show, the girls were back in their dresses and ready for action!
Emily got to debut her qualifying series program to Take Flight (by Lindsey Stirling) at the afternoon show. She landed two axels and three doubles (two double salchows and a double loop). She is definitely going to grow into this program, but for her first attempt it was excellent! All photo credits to Trina Smith (Elle's mom) who did a fantastic job!
Emily and Cate did a kind of impromptu pairs number as part of the afternoon show. They even did their signature lift!
After the afternoon show, we were off to Thomas to go to Tip Top! Emily got to wear the Tip Top sweatshirt we bought her on the last trip and she ordered her favorite pumpkin muffin with espresso frosting. Yum!
After some coffee and shopping (and more snow) we headed back to prepare for the evening show. Everyone skated great and all the girls seemed so happy to be on the ice today.
| S'more S'mores after the show! |
It kept snowing all evening so after the show we decided to just grab dinner at the lodge rather than heading back into town to the burrito place. And Emily was not the least bit disappointed by that! I hear there was another late night at the cabin playing games, working on off-ice skills and giggling...lots and lots of giggling. Can't wait until we come back in March!
