New Egg Chair

Wednesday, June 10, 2020

During quarantine we undertook some projects around the house, including updating Emily's room to make it a little more teen friendly.  Part of this project included cleaning out a little, getting her room repainted (still to come) and also replacing her baby rocker with something a little more grown up.  Emily has been talking about wanting an egg chair for years.  We finally agreed on this one.  It fits perfectly in her space and she is in love with it.  As luck would have it, the egg chair was delivered on her 12-and-a-half birthday!
We also, sadly, started cleaning out some of her American Girl doll clothes and accessories.  It is sad this time because I know these things will not be replaced.  To this point, every toy clean out resulted in more new toys.  This time, as we empty the spaces, shelves and drawers, I am not at all sure what will replace it...and I know it won't be toys.  Wow, parting with her baby rocker and toys.  This stuff is hard.

As a short post-script:  Coronavirus continues on.  As of June 10, there were over 2 millions cases in the United States with ~113,000 deaths.  West Virginia has ~2,200 cases with ~70 deaths.
