We were hoping for better weather this morning (better than when we were here on Saturday) so that we could make Test Track our first stop. Luckily this time the weather was good so we rode!
That was basically the only ride we had time for before we headed out for lunch. We booked something new! Today we were headed to Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club for lunch! They are known for a cool 50's style soda fountain vibe and they specialize in awesome shakes and sundaes. It is a small little place but super fun! We had sandwiches and such for lunch but for dessert we got a chocolate Oreo sundae with peanut butter sauce!
On our way back around World Showcase we took a brief stop in Mexico to ride the Gran Fiesta Tour boat ride. We don't do this one on every trip so when we do it, it's fun! I love the Mexico pavilion.
We also had the chance to ride Soarin', Seas with Nemo and Spaceship Earth. By that point, we were pretty tired and it looked like rain was imminent so we decided to call it a day and head back to the resort. We were hoping by that point the rain would be over and we could swim in the new pool. So, off we went. Unfortunately, the rain wasn't fully gone when we were ready to go to the pool. There was still some lightning in the "area" so we had to wait a bit to swim. So, instead we did a little pin trading and then explored the resort a little more. Then finally, the pool opened. Yay!
Then for dinner, we headed down to Geyser Pointe. It was a neat outdoor bar/restaurant facing the actual geyser they have on the property. It's man-made of course, but it is still pretty neat. Emily ordered salmon, which surprised me, but what surprised me more was that she ate it...and seemed to like it!
With tired feet and full tummies, we were off to bed. Last day tomorrow at Magic Kingdom. Gonna shut it down!!! But first, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
