Emily was invited to attend the University of Michigan's Wolverine Weekend and skate with the synchro team so of course we had to go. We had been looking forward to this since learning about it when she was a freshman. The event started on Saturday afternoon with a skating panel, a campus tour and dinner. Emily and I also had some downtime to get out and explore a little.
Then on Sunday morning, everyone met at the ice rink for warm ups and 2 hours of ice time. It was interesting. Emily has never done anything like synchro so watching was interesting. They do not really jump or spin much. But it was still a neat experience and I think Emily liked it. On Monday morning, we headed over to the Admissions Office for the information session. It will be tough to get in, but they really have some amazing programs.
