The weeks at the beach always go too fast. It was hard to believe Friday was here already. In the morning we headed to the beach to soak up the sea, sand and sun one last time. Ok, so there wasn't much sun, but after the weather we had last year (stupid hurricane) this year was perfect. We had one last beach walk, one more round of Tidal Ball, made sand castles and watched D fly his kite with the giant new tail. We really needed a bit stronger of a breeze, but we had enough to do the job.
This afternoon, it cleared off a bit and we had more Woodsy pool time. I met a little friend on the way to the pool living his best life with a lost french fry from Woodsy Grill. No Bullseye Bucket for us in the pool, but it turned out that we were totally distracted most of the time we were there by a bucket over the splash pad area that wasn't filling and flipping like the others. Much discussion and speculation ensued about the various probable causes of the malfunctioning bucket. We took a photo to commemorate the occasion.
Emily is into sushi these days. I think it has passed pasta as her favorite dish - especially rainbow rolls. So, we let her choose the last meal of the trip and she picked King Kong Sushi at Broadway at the Beach. The meal was good, but not my favorite. I think either Sea Captain's Table or Wahoo Fish House were the big winners from this trip. After dinner, we played one last round of mini golf at Spyglass. We love the "cinema like" effects throughout the course. Daniel was the big winner tonight!

We closed out the trip with our final visit to Kirk's. I think their Peanut Butter Oreo Pie was my favorite ice cream of the trip. It was so good! We thought the fun was over for the trip, but when we got home, folks were setting off some great fireworks from the beach! What a great conclusion to the trip! Until next year, Myrtle Beach...thanks for the memories!
