Today we were up bright and early to take on Animal Kingdom. Emily has talked and talked about the book of "badges" ever since our last visit to AK, so our first stop was to get the little book where the kids could collect their badges. From there, we headed to Kilimanjaro Safari to see all the African wild animals. This is one of my favorite Disney attractions. In fact, on this trip I was actually asking myself why we did not try to ride it twice. We saw giraffes, lions, cheetahs, rhinos, hippos, flamingos and so much more. It always amazes me how close we get to these guys! I could post 50 pictures here, but I narrowed it to my 4 favorites.
After the safari, we caught the little train and went to visit Rafiki's Planet Watch and the Affection Station to pet the barnyard friends. On the way we ran into Chip and Dale and there was NO LINE for the meet and greet to we got some great pics!
Once inside Rafiki's Planet Watch, the girls met Rafiki and we helped them collect all the badges. Then we visited the petting area.
After some time with our furry friends, it was off to adventure on Expedition Everest. Personally, my favorite roller coaster at Disney World. Emily loves it too.
After all of that excitement, it was time for lunch at Rainforest Cafe. This has become one of my favorite places to eat at Disney because it has a real menu and is not a buffet. Plus the food is good and you can end your meal with a Chocolate Volcano (which we did)!!
