We had a beautiful night for trick-or-treat this year. The weather was a little on the chilly side, but totally bearable in just a light jacket over the costumes. Rather than wear her creeper costume again, Emily opted to wear her Cinderella "live action" dress. She really loves it and she looked beautiful in it.
We initially tried to trick or treat with the Johns family and the Moody's, but the big kids really wanted to take off and the littler ones, well, not so much. So Jason and I took Jeff and Emily ahead of the group and Melissa and Molly stayed back and moved a little slower with Jacob, Abby and Josie. Emily definitely covered more ground this year than ever before. In the end, I think everyone had a great time and A LOT of candy was definitely collected! Unfortunately, Daniel got caught at the hospital this year and missed all the fun, basically. Honorable mention to Paul Johns who guarded our candy bowl and kept it with his at the bottom of his driveway so greedy kids would not wipe us out in 30 minutes.
