Today was a beautiful fall day so we decided to take full advantage and get outside. We headed out to Gritt's Farm for pumpkin picking and other fun, fall festivities! Emily's friend Kelsie slept over Saturday night so we brought her along to share in the fun too.
We hit the road bright and early so we could be there when they opened. First stop - Pumpkin Picking!! This is my favorite part.
Then it was time to let the kids play on all the great stuff they have - slides, bales of hay, petting zoo, tricycles, zip lines and so much more! And they did it ALL!
We made our way to the BIG corn maze next. Ever year I swear we won't find our way out, but amazingly we always do. It typically takes us about 45 minutes and along the way there are clues and they all center around a story of some kind. This year's theme was the Civil War. Emily even knew some of the trivia since they just studied this in history.
When it started to get more crowded in the afternoon, we hit the road and made a stop at Dairy Queen for lunch and pumpkin pie blizzards! Yum!! When we got home it was time to decorate! And if I do say so myself, the porch looks beautiful! I love fall.
