Easter 2019

Happy Easter! We went all out for the holiday this year.  We started our morning for scavenger hunts for Emily and Daddy.  They started out with the first egg and clue and then had to follow them all over the house to find their baskets.  I had a little trouble setting it all up initially, but ultimately it worked!

And they found their baskets!  Emily's was filled with many Pusheen things and  Daddy's had a lot of chocolate treats.
Then, just after lunch, we had the Johns family over for more Easter fun!  We started with another scavenger hunt for all the kids.  Each kid had her own individual hunt for her own eggs (totally worth the time to get it all worked out).  The hunt took them upstairs and down and all over the yard and  deck too.  Each egg contained a clue to the next egg and at the end, they each found an Easter friend.

Successful hunting!
After all the treats were found, it was time to color eggs and eat cookies!  I love coloring eggs.  I seriously don't think I ever really outgrew it.  They had really beautiful colors this year.  As they've gotten older they have started taking their time and leaving the eggs in the dye longer and they really come out so pretty.

Finished results! Missing one that broke during boiling.  :-(
After our Easter fun, the girls went off to play and I got us ready for our big Easter dinner!  Ham, sour cream potatoes, green beans, crescents, Easter "fluff" fruit salad and cake for dessert.  It was very yummy, if I do say so myself...and I do.  Even Zoey was  excited!
