With very full tummies after our dessert tour, we headed back to the hotel to change and get ready for Emily's drama recital...the whole reason we went on this trip. We met the group at Hotel Pennsylvania and got to see everyone perform. Emily did a terrific job! She did "The Hat" by Martha Bolton. Lots of drama.
After recital, we hunted on our map for a good dinner spot. We settled on The Harold, just around the corner from the hotel. Emily kept up her record of ordering steak at every meal. Oh my poor little wallet.
After dinner we were looking for a few more adventures...and we found a Target! Turns out Target in Manhattan is set up differently than our suburban Target and Emily just had to see it. But, they have all the same stuff.
Continuing on our adventures, we headed out to tour the Empire State Building. We had tickets that were originally part of our bus tour but we missed going because the group went before lunch. So we used our tickets now! Not the greatest night to see everything, but this was our best chance to visit.
After our visit to the Empire State Building we found a Sprinkles Cupcake kiosk and we just had to stop by. We got a red velvet cupcake and a sprinkle cupcake. Both were really yummy!
