NYC Drama Trip - Broadway

Saturday, April 13, 2019

After our bus tour, we rested a bit and then quickly cleaned up and changed for our night on Broadway!  We started our night on the town in Times Square. Emily was not a fan of all the traffic, bright lights, noise and people in "strange" attire.  We walked right through the center of all the action to get to our dinner reservation at the Hard Rock Cafe right in the heart of Times Square.  Somehow, they thought we were celebrating something so we even got a special dessert with a candle!

After dinner, we walked just a couple of blocks to the beautiful St. James Theater to see Frozen!  We had really been looking forward to this show.  A little taste of Disney in the middle of Manhattan.
The show was amazing.  Completely amazing.  Every character was just like the movie, only better.  Some of the music was the same, but most of it was new for the show and it was incredible.  I came home and bought the soundtrack.  I couldn't possibly imagine how they could recreate some of the more popular scenes from the movie, but they did.  We were not allowed to take pictures until curtain call, but since Daddy treated his girls to third row seats, we got some good ones!

After the amazing show, we headed back to the hotel to rest up for Day 2 in the big city.  Hard to top our day today, but we were definitely going to try.
