Well, summer is officially in our rear view mirror and I'm very sad. But it is hard to be sad for too long when Emily was so excited to start middle school today. Mostly, she was excited about having a locker at school!

Well, summer is officially in our rear view mirror and I'm very sad. But it is hard to be sad for too long when Emily was so excited to start middle school today. Mostly, she was excited about having a locker at school!
This year's schedule consists of English, History, Gym/Art/Music, Math, Science and Study Skills/Choir. She is also hoping they roll out some of the technology initiatives they talked about last spring at the end of the school year including coding raspberry pi, Z-Space 3D (the lab is already set up), 3D printing and possibly some robotics. She is also doing drama again this year and is hoping to qualify to go to Nationals this June in New Mexico. Other exciting things on the horizon for this year include a middle school trip to the ice rink in December (yay!) and 6th/7th grade trip to Space Camp this spring! So many exciting things coming this year...just hope there isn't a ton of homework...
