Tonight was the Charleston Figure Skating Club Christmas show. It was extra exciting this year because we didn't get to have a show last year (stupid Covid). Emily had her song picked out since last year too, so she was finally going to get to skate it! And, as an added bonus, she got a brand new dress that arrived just in time for the show!
Also during the show we got to have the ceremony where the USFSA Gold Medals were handed out. Emily was one of 4 to receive her medal and she was very excited. Of course her coach, Heidi Sowards, also made the ceremony extra special. Emily had been dreaming of this night since she was about 8 years old...talk about a dream come true. We're so proud of her!!!
