We had really been looking forward to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, but the rain never really let up from the time we headed to lunch at Rainforest Cafe on into the afternoon. During our afternoon rest we looked sadly out the hotel window and frantically checked the radar for some indication that the rain might let up. By about 6:00pm, it seemed hopeless. We discussed ark building over dinner at Contempo Cafe. But we decided that since we had tickets to the party and rain coats we would brave the weather and go anyway - particularly since we had tickets to the Villain's Sinister Soiree at Cinderella's castle later in the evening and preferred seating for my favorite parade - The Boo to You Halloween Parade!
Well, we left the hotel about 6:45 and arrived at Magic Kingdom just before 7:00pm and amazingly the rain STOPPED. Completely stopped. So, before it started again we posed for a quick picture in our costumes. I went as Belle (in her provincial dress), Dan was Peter Pan and Emily went as Elsa in her coronation dress. We had some lingering concern that the rain waited too long to stop and that the parade might still be cancelled, but we worried needlessly. The parade went off without a hitch and only a little bit late and we had fabulous seats right in front of the castle.
Since the parade was running a little late, we just stayed right in our spot and watched the light show on the castle and the Hallowishes fireworks show. And not one more drop of rain fell. What a blessing!

After the fireworks, we had time for a couple of stops on the trick-or-treat trail and then it was time to head to the castle for the Villain's Sinister Soiree dessert party and character greeting.
