Kindergarten and first grade get to go to the Milton Pumpkin Festival every year. We (Daniel and I) missed it last year because we were in Hawaii so we were determined to get there this year and I am glad we did.
Our first task was to decorate a pumpkin with only natural materials. We used our recent Disney trip as our inspiration and made Cinderella's carriage. You can't really see it in the picture, but Emily's dress even had a pumpkin carriage on it! We did not win the pumpkin decorating contest, but it sure was fun and we were very proud of our creation.
After we finished our pumpkin, we ventured out to see the festival sights. We visited a petting zoo, a hay bale playground, many craft displays and some fun food vendors (deep fried oreos)! Emily spent most of the day with her friend, Kyra and the girls had a blast!
