Cacapon 2012!

For reasons that will become apparent, this year's Cacapon adventure will require multiple posts. First, it was Grandma Gamble's 90th Birthday! That was reason alone was cause for celebration. Second, this was Everett's first Cacapon adventure. Third, this was realy the first year that Jacob and Emily could really go off and play a little together on their own. They had a great time!

We arrived on Friday evening, September 7 around dinner time.  We grilled burgers and hot dogs with Jane, Joan, Katie, Laura, Andy and Jacob.  Kiwi was also in attendance, but was not permitted to eat.  Emily also had a chance to check out the nearby playground while I unpacked up and put away some of our food.

For this trip, we tried out the "modern" cabin.  It was modern in the sense that it had running water, cable tv, A/C and a microwave, but it was still prett rustic for my personal taste.  Even so, it was clean and ended up working out just fine.  In fact, we already booked our cabin for next year.  Emily loved "camping."
