Walt Disney World - The Adventure Begins!

It is a good thing I bought big photo albums for all of our Disney pictures or I would have to invest in a whole separate book to blog about our Disney adventures.  We had such an amazing time. The following posts are really just a quick snapshot of our many adventures and many happy memories.
We had a 4am wake-up call for a 6am flight but it was totally worth it.  The flights were all on time and we even got an unexpected upgrade to economy plus on the way to Orlando.  When we arrived in Orlando, we rode Disney's Magical Express to Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  The line for the bus was long, but in the end I think we only waited 30 minutes or so.
When we arrived at the resort, check-in was quick and easy and our room was ready!  Unfortunately we were also starving, so we grabbed a quick bite to eat at the Contempo Cafe.  Then we headed up to our room and it did not disappoint!  Our view of Cinderella's Castle and Space Mountain was amazing!  We decided to have a short nap (since we had all been awake quite a while) and unpack a little.  Mom and I headed out in search of our grocery order...and did a little window shopping in the stores!

After a short nap we went to dinner at 1900 Park Fare where we met Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, Druzilla, Prince Charming and of course, Cinderella!  The food was ok, not great, but the characters more than made up for it.

After dinner we made our way to The Magic Kingdom for the fireworks!  Emily covered her ears a lot of the time, but she loved them.  This was her very first time seeing fireworks and she loved them!  After fireworks were over we let Emily go into the Emporium and choose a new toy.  She chose Queen Clarion and the bear from the movie Brave.  A great end to a fun first day!
