Atlantis 2018 - Dolphins (Day Four)!

Monday, August 6, 2018
Ok, today was our big day at Atlantis so this one might take multiple posts.  Our day started by surprising Emily with a deep water dolphin swim!  Em and Daddy did this together last year and had a blast.  But, in light of all the other things we planned for this trip (cabana, sea lions (more on that to come) and tickets to Rob Lake) we could not do the dolphin swim this year.  Boy was she surprised.  She popped right up and into her bathing suit and off we went.

While we waited for their group to start, I was able to get some pretty good dolphin action pics!

Finally it was their group's turn in the water.  First up on the agenda was getting acquainted with the dolphins.  This included dolphin feeding and high fives.

Then it was time for a few pics with their new friend, Sasha.

Then it was time for some swimming with the dolphins!  Emily barely came up for air, I swear.  I don't know how she did it, but she sure does love the dolphin swim.

Then it was time for the main events - foot push and dolphin riding!  This was the most fun part to watch by far.  And you can really see the joy on their faces.  Epic fun!  Awesome way to start our day!

After the dolphin swim everyone was starving so we got cleaned up and headed to the Village Burger Shack back in Marina Village for lunch.  The most exciting parts for me were the peaceful walk and the fact that they had Gumbay Punch at lunch!

After a really good lucnh (and refills on Gumbay Punch) we made a quick stop at the aquarium in Royal Tower.  We knew we couldn't see it all, but we had time to at least see a few of the inside tanks.

I'm definitely going to need another post to continue this awesome day...
