Magic Kingdom (Part One)

Sunday, September 9, 2018

Today was our first full day at Magic Kingdom.  Our favorite!  Although, the older Emily gets, the more joy we find in other parks too.
We started our day in Tomorrowland including a visit to Buzz Lightyear's Space  Ranger Spin...

Followed by a trip around the race track at Tomorrowland Speedway (one of my favorites) and a stop for pin trading on our way out too.

Pin trading from the Tomorrowland Speedway pylon!
We lucked into almost no line for Astro Orbiter so we took advantage of that and took a whirl around the galaxy.  Great views of the park and Bay Lake Tower too.

Of course no trip to Tomorrowland is complete without a visit to Space Mountain - one of Emily's favorite rides in all of Disney World.  This was another ride with new games to be played in the line cue on the Play  Disney app.  Emily and Daddy both loved the Space Mountain games.  You basically had to find codes hidden all throughout the line and then enter them on the game.  They loved it.

Then it was time to head off to Fantasy Land for more fun.  First stop, lunch at Be Our Guest!  I love that it is quick service at lunch and of course we love the "Grey Stuff" cupcake too.  YUM!

After lunch, we stayed in Fantasy Land for more rides.  To give our lunch a little time to digest, we started off small with Under the Sea followed by a meet and greet with Ariel!

Then, while we were in the area, we went to Winnie the Pooh.  I think the kids are getting a little old for this one, but Pooh is just so cute and I love the Blustery Day story told in the ride.  So, we keep riding.

Then it was time for our Fast Pass for Seven  Dwarfs Mine Train.  It is definitely not a big roller coaster, but it is close enough that the kids love it.  I like that the cars rock side to side on the tracks.  A little something different.

After we wrapped up our time in Fantasy Land, we decided to hit up a couple of rides in Adventure Land before heading back to the resort for a rest.  Our first stop was Splash Mountain and it was hot so it was a great choice.

Then we dried off by taking a run down Big Thunder Mountain...with Emily's favorite safety announcement that she knows by heart.

Then, just when we thought we were headed out of the park to rest, we stopped off for two more photo opportunities - Tinker Bell and one right out in front of the park.  A little extra magic - to go!
