Relaxing Pool Day

Thursday, June 6, 2019

Today was our designated relax by the pool day.  I really look forward to these days because we really do pause to just be happy being together...in  a pool...in a beautiful place...just a couple miles from Disney.

After several non-stop days, we slept in a bit this morning and then gathered our suits to head to the pool. The walk to the pool was so pretty that I couldn't resist taking a few shots.
Shortly after arriving at the pool, it became quite clear that pool rafts were in order - they had a lazy river!  So,  I went to the marketplace and bought 2 rafts.  The lazy river current went all through the pool area.  Not quite as fun as the lazy river at The Atlantis, but definitely more lazy and serene.  We made quite a few laps in our little floats!
After a few laps, we also had to try out the awesome water slides.  They even had 2 of them!
And as if all of that wasn't enough, they had fun play areas too!  I could have "rested" here for days!

But, with Disney calling just a few miles away, we cleaned ourselves up in time for dinner...and a  couple of Fast Passes at Epcot.

Since  we aren't sure when Spaceship Earth is closing we rode that again.  Emily made a mad face in the picture so these pics were kind of funny.
We were lucky to get a Test Track Fast Pass so that was  exciting!  From there, we headed over to The Land and had dinner at Sunshine Seasons (complete with an amazing cupcake) and then rode Soarin' and Livin' with the Land.
As with all of our Disney  adventures on this non-Disney trip, we had a great time, but we had to get back and get some sleep because tomorrow was our "only" Disney day for this trip!  Magic Kingdom here we come!!!
