Shattuck St. Mary's Figure Skating Camp 2019

June 16, 2019 - June 22, 2019

Following a great day at Mall of America it was time to head off to Shattuck and get Emily all moved in for the week. She was all on her own again this year, but it did not seem to bother her in the least. She is always excited to meet new people.

She was supposed to have two roommates again this year, but in the end (just like last year) she only ended up with one.  This meant they had a HUGE room for just the two of them.

After we got her moved in we took a quick  loop around campus and got an icecream cone and then it was time for me to head off until Friday...

And before I knew it, it was Friday and time for a BIG surprise.  Grandma was coming back to camp with me to see Emily skate in the exhibition!  When we walked in the rink Friday afternoon and Emily saw Grandma, she cried.  It was perfect...because also it was Grandma's birthday! Of course I now also realize I failed to get a picture of the perfect moment.  Oh well.  It was totally memorable.

  

The next morning, we checked Emily out of camp, headed back to Mall of America for a little more shopping and lunch at Rainforest Cafe (again) complete with the VOLCANO (again) and then it was  time to head for home.

And, as you can see, Emily was exhausted.  :-)
