We closed out our evening with ice cream at Maggie Moo's - the perfect way to wrap up the perfect summer night. We had to get to bed early because Space Camp would start tomorrow!

We left for Space Camp on Friday evening, but didn't actually make it to Huntsville (thanks to flight delays) until about midnight local time. Luckily we had the chance to sleep in on Saturday morning before heading over to the Space & Rocket Center for the day. Grandma had never been to the Space & Rocket Center so Emily was very excited to show her all things space!
We grabbed a quick breakfast at the hotel and then headed out. Our first stop was to plan which movies we wanted to see. We picked a planetarium show and a movie about plans to go to Mars. We all liked the planetarium show. It was really good. Then it was off to see the sights!
After our tour through the museum (and a bite of lunch at Mars Cafe) we headed outside to see more things. Emily rode the MoonShot (a ride that shoots you up into the air and then drops you back down to Earth) and G-Force (that spins you around so fast that your feet come off the floor). Grandma and I sat those out, but we did enjoy seeing a mock-up of the moon vehicle and the space shuttle. We also took a time out in the shade for some shave ice. Yum!
After a pretty full day touring, we headed out in the hotel shuttle to dinner and a little shopping at Bridge Street. We had dinner at Bravo and got Emily some new shoes for back to school. We also found some new mini Pusheen blind boxes and Pusheen in a unicorn float! So we got those too.
Then we happened across a really cute little carousel and we just HAD to ride. And everyone got to ride their animal (or tea cup) of choice.
